Tonga Islands Map and Travel Directory

The Kingdom of Tonga has four main island groups: Tongatapu, Ha'apai, Vava'u and the Niuas (not shown). Tonga is located about 400 miles south-east of Fiji.

Tongatapu, its outlying islands, and 'Eua are the southernmost group of the Tonga Islands, and feature idyllic tropical islands. It's the centre of government, culture and commerce, and features geological, ancient & historical wonders.

Ha'apai features long, sandy beaches, fringed with coconut palms and crystal clear blue water. Nominated a World Heritage site, the culture, coral reefs and pristine marine life is so good it cannot be experienced anywhere else.

Vava'u - the largest northern group - is home of one of the finest yacht harbours in the South Pacific - lined with palm trees, islands, mountains and coves, this is the perfect place to swim, kayak, snorkel, sail, and get close to humpback whales.

The best way to visit and explore the beautiful islands of Tonga is Peau Vava'u - Tonga's best airline
