New Landfill
As time approaches for this facility to open, we are gearing up to take on more customers especially in the commercial area. It is planned by the AUSaid landfill project, that Tongatapu domestic residents will have a user-pays compulsory rubbish collection service, but commercial establihsments will haev to decide how they deal with their rubbish.
It is much further to the Tapuhia landfill than to the old rubbish dump, and there are restrictions on what can and what cannot be placed into the landfill cell.
We are also increasing our customer base for a short-term as we take over the government rubbish collection customers who still want a regular collection service.
